Fair food, which used to be just about corn dogs and funnel cakes, has gotten extremely adventurous these past few years. It wasn't that long ago that fried Oreos came onto the scene, and now vendors offer everything from alligator to fried Kool-Aid.
So which fair food stands above the rest as the all-time favorite? We've taste-tested and narrowed the field to 16 gooey, chewy and yummy candidates. We kept the traditional fair fare in there, too, because there's a reason they are perennial faves.
