How does it work?

Ever dreamed of performing in front of a live audience? Here is your chance. Send us a video of yourself singing the national anthem and possibly win the opportunity to perform in front of 30,000 people at Pops on the River with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra. You could also win $500!

From May 8th-June 3th readers can upload videos of themselves singing the national anthem.

If you don't have a video or access to upload one, join us at Park Plaza Mall Saturday, May 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the seating area in front Dillard's East/Third Floor. We will videotape you singing the national anthem and upload the video for you.

Online voting runs June 4-13. A panel of judges, along with the general public, will have the opportunity to narrow the field to the top-10 vocalists. The public picks 5 and the judges choose the other 5.

In the second round of voting, June 15-25, the public votes will be combined with the judge's scores to determine the top five finalists. Each finalist will sing a patriotic song at Pops on the River. The audience response combined with judges scores will determine the winner.

Can I still vote if the contest has already started?

Yes. As long as it is still within the voting period.

Can I vote more than once?

Yes. Registered users with a valid email may cast 10 votes per day. Come back every day to cast votes for your 10 favorite entries. Vote for the same person multiple times or spread your votes around.

Are there prizes?

The winner receives $500 cash and will sing with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra at Pops on the River on July 4th. Second place wins $250 and third place $100.
